When you come to Morgantown Running for your shoes, you have the opportunity to have an assesment–so that you are in the best shoe for you.
If you plan on wearing sandles to the shop, please remember to bring an extra pair of socks with you to be sure your shoes fit properly. (We’ve got try-ons if you forget!) We also encourage you to bring your old shoes so that we can take a look at the wear pattern. We’ll also ask you take your shoes and socks off so that we can look at your feet, both sitting and standing.
After we do a static evaluation, we’ll want to get you moving and watch what goes on as you run. We’ll have you hop on the treadmill to analyze your gait. At this time we will be able to record you running, slow it down and then go over with you what is going on with your gait. We’ll be looking to see if you have a neutral stride, over-pronate slightly, moderately or severly. After this, we’ll be
able to let you know what type of shoes will fit you best.
And of course, you’ll have the opportunity to try as many shoes as you’d like!
